Over the past few years the terms “culinary tourism,” “gastronomads,” and “farm to table” are heard often in the Upper East Side of Texas as people continue to embrace the need for fresh produce for better nutrition and tastier food.
Now that James Curvan is semi-retired, he’s returning to – in a way – his childhood. Okay, not necessarily his own, but he’s designing and building and playhouses for children. These are not just simple playhouses, either, but more like adventure mansions.
Full Quiver Farms in Kemp, owned and operated by Mike and Debbie Sams, produces some of the best artisan and farmstead cheeses and cheese spreads in Texas. It has been featured in articles across the state and even has its own chapter in Growing Good Things to Eat in Texas by Texas A&M University Press.
