The Whole Family

By Patricia Isaacson. We have several herds of deer on our peninsula on Lake Fork (Emory, TX). We were so thrilled to see one of the moms with her twins, and dad all posing in front of the lake one morning! Rare to get a family separate from the herd!

Where Is the Key?

By Alan Roberts. "I grew up in Africa where many of my uncles and aunts had farms and I had very much, an outdoor life. When we visited their farms, my brother and I used to love taking our slingshots and going exploring, often playing on the old farm equipment. Seeing these old tractors at the Parrott Park/Old Mill Pond Museum [Lindale] brought back many wonderful memories for me of my boyhood in Africa."

I noticed this heron atop a cypress and decided to see how close it would let me come for a photograph. By the time I got closer, the sun was sinking to create this perfect scene.

Look What I Can Do!

By Mark Horner. I am a hospice chaplain so I travel quite a bit seeing patients. I always have my camera in the car. I pulled over to take some pictures of these cows in a field somewhere between Longview and Jefferson and zoomed in for some face close ups. I snapped a few and got back on the road. It was only after work that day when I looked at the pictures that I saw the tongue picture. It is so whimsical and captured a moment you don't see too often.

Foggy Texas Morning
