History of Go-Givers in Longview:
Shortly after his election as Mayor in 2015, Andy Mack hosted a community-wide “Mayor Mack’s Book Club” focusing on the book “The Go-Giver” by Bob Burg and John David Mann. The book is a little story about the huge power of giving. During and after that book club, many individuals throughout Longview stepped up to be “Go-Givers” for by donating their time, energy, and money to important needs in our community. This gala is an opportunity to recognize some of those individuals and to encourage others to follow their lead.
The Go-Giver Honorees for 2019 will be announced soon!
Why we are supporting beautification along Highway 80:
The first annual Go-Giver Gala was a HUGE success with over $250,000 raised to help end homelessness in Longview. During his time as Mayor, people have often asked Mayor Andy mack about how to improve the aesthetics of Highway 80. The roadway is one of the primary and historic thoroughfares through Longview, but the area is in need of revitalization and improvement. According to Mayor Mack, "It is my desire that this event will be a time of opportunity for us to come together to serve those who need serving and celebrate those in our community who have been shining examples to us as well."
Your tax-deductible sponsorship and donation to the City of Longview for the Go-Giver Gala will help fund efforts to beautify and stimulate redevelopment along Highway 80.
