Rains County Eagle Fest

Jan 19, 2019 to Jan 16, 2021

This event occurs yearly, the third Saturday of January.

The Rains County Eagle Fest is an annual event featuring Rains County as the Eagle Capital of Texas.  Originally, the festival began as a way to create awareness of the eagles living in Rains County and the surrounding areas but over the years it has evolved into a full festival including live entertainment, bird shows, speakers, art displays and demonstrations --- Not only highlighting the eagles of the area but also showcasing the Smith's Larkspur (another rare bird found in the region) and all aspects of nature.  The most popular parts of the festival are the barge and bus tours on and around Lake Fork to see the bald eagles in their natural habitat.
