Big Thanks to First Responders

Brookshire Grocery Company hosted lunches Thursday and Friday for first responders in Longview and Tyler.

The events were held August 17 at the Longview Exhibit Building and August 18 at the Rose Garden Center Building in Tyler to show the company’s appreciation for the dedicated and courageous men and women who work to serve and protect East Texans.

Local law enforcement officers, firefighters, and emergency response personnel were treated to burgers, sausage, and side dishes prepared by employees of Brookshire’s and Super 1 Foods stores.

“Brookshire’s truly cares about our communities, and we appreciate our first responders for their service,” said Brad Brookshire, chairman and CEO. “Providing lunch for these heroes today is one way we can honor and thank them for all they do.”

BGC also hosted appreciation lunches this week for first responders in Pineville, Louisiana, and in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
