Shreveport Festival Mimics French Marketplace

Several businesses located on Lake Street in downtown Shreveport will partner to host the Fifth Annual Cirque du Lake Street Festival from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, September 21.

The free, family-friendly festival will take place in the 400 block of Lake Street. Festival attendees will enjoy live music, vendor booths, a variety of unique food and drink options, street performers, and an open-air street festival atmosphere intended to mimic the essence of a French market. Pets on leashes are welcome.

The Cirque du Lake Street Festival is presented by a partnership of businesses including The Agora Borealis, iARCHiTECTURE, Sweetport, Vintage Design Group, LLC, Good Granoly, Digital Logic, and Definition Industries Inc. Vendor applications and sponsorship packages are now available and may be requested by e-mailing or contacting a Lake Street Design District business.

“Cirque du Lake is an opportunity for us to come together and celebrate as a way to give thanks to our community,” says Katy Larsen, owner of The Agora Borealis.

The live entertainment includes: The Joanitones, 5-6 p.m.; Rella, 6-7 p.m.; Star Chamber, 7-8 p.m.; and Ouro Boar, 8-9 p.m. Comedian Molly Hiers will serve as emcee and host during the event.
