Children’s Theatre Sets Auditions For March Show
ArtsView Children’s Theatre opens its 10th anniversary season with an “under the sea” adventure with its adaption from the 2008 Broadway production, Disney’s “The Little Mermaid Jr.”
Auditions for “The Little Mermaid Jr.” take place at ArtsView Children’s Theatre on January 16-17 from 5-8:10 p.m., with call backs on January 18 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Visit www.artsviewchildrenstheatre.com for details regarding the song required for auditions as well as a list of characters and all rehearsal dates. The show magically portrays the adventures of Ariel, a beautiful young mermaid who longs to leave her ocean home – and her fins – to live in the world above. “The Little Mermaid Jr.” is sponsored by Sigco, LLC, and is supported by the Longview Cultural Activities Advisory Commission.
“The Little Mermaid Jr.” will be directed by ArtsView’s Artistic Director, Laura Bowen, who joined the ArtsView team in 2010. Bowen has a double bachelor’s degree in Acting/Directing and in Musical Theatre from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. As an actress and a director, she has spent more than a decade in educational and professional theatre nationwide.
