Jazz Concert Featured At Caldwell Auditorium
The Jesse Lynch Trio presents Jesse Lynch Jazz 101 at the Caldwell Auditorium in Tyler on January 9 at 7:30 p.m.
Single tickets for this event are $30. Ticket packages for the three remaining world-class concerts on the Tyler Community Concert schedule are available for $70.
Jazz 101 is a creation of New York jazz artist Jesse Lynch. Pianist, composer, arranger and educator, Lynch has applied his wide-ranging skills to a new multimedia concert production chronicling the history of jazz.
His repertoire spans New Orleans classics through his own compositions. Lynch is accompanied by fellow New York jazz aces Joe Michaels (bass) and Matt Smallcomb (drums). Each member has a formidable bio typical of the new wave of jazz instrumentalists - classical training with academic and professional connections to traditional jazz, funk, pop and world music.
Lynch has toured nationally with Daniel Rodriguez and “The American Tenors.” The Trio’s first album, “Intuition,” was released in 2009.
Established in 1933, Tyler Civic Music became affiliated with Community Concerts in 1955 to form Tyler Community Concert Association. Motivated by the mission “to bring artists and audiences together,” this all-volunteer nonprofit organization is committed to enriching the cultural life of Tyler through live performances. Thanks to the generosity of patrons and sponsors, these concerts are offered at affordable, family-friendly prices.
Live On Stage, Inc., provides excellent, affordable entertainment attractions and support services to an American community of concert presenters.
