Opera House Production Schedules Actor Tryouts

Published:

Jefferson's Opera House Theatre Players hosts tryouts for a new comedy to be produced in late March or early April, "Mama Won't Fly," by the well-known writing trio Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten.

The script calls for women of ages ranging from 20s to 60s and a few men of the same age range. No experience is necessary, but a flair for broad comedy would be good since the play is written by the famous trio who wrote for the “The Golden Girls” television show.

Auditions are scheduled for January 11 and 12, and again on January 18 and 19, all at 2 p.m. at the Living Room Theatre, located at 112 Vale St. in downtown Jefferson.  Call director Marcia Thomas at 903.665.2310 to arrange other times.  For more information, visit the Players website at www.JefferonOperaHouseTheatrePlayers.com.
