Award-Winning Trio, Tenore, Performs at The Pines

Published:

Kicking off a new year of rousing performances at the Pines Theater in downtown Lufkin, the multi-award winning group, Tenore, performs at 7 p.m. January 17.

The talented tenor trio, including vocalists Mark David Williams, David Wise and Carlos Santiago, has garnered international acclaim since the release of a debut album in 2011 that won the GMA’s Covenant Awards for Traditional Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Fan Choice of the Year.

With a loyal international fan base, the popular group has performed to sold-out audiences and mega-churches across North America and appeared on the popular Hour of Power TV broadcast from LA's Crystal Cathedral. In 2012, Tenore traveled to Uganda to perform with the world-famous Watoto Children's Choir, recording the hit "Where Are You Christmas?" from the movie The Grinch Who Stole Christmas for a 2014 Christmas album entitled "Christmas With You." That album also received the GMA Covenant Award for Seasonal Album of the Year and included a cover of “Christmas with You” with Grammy-award winning vocal superstar, Heather Headley. Tenore was founded by Jill Ann Siemens, who also discovered the multi-platinum recording group, The Canadian Tenors.

Tickets for the Lufkin performance are $40 for floor seats and $35 for balcony seats and are available by calling 903.633.0349 or visiting  thepineslufkin.com.  Season tickets range from $210 to $235, and additional performances include a February 18 show by The Bellamy Brothers and an April 20 performance featuring newly- married Broadway veterans Jarrod Spector and Kelli Barrett.
