Green To Perform At Cattle Baron’s Gala

The 2014 Tyler Cattle Baron's Gala Committee announced that William Clark Green is the late night entertainer for the 27th annual event.

Green has spent the past few years touring heavily in the booming Texas scene with a range of songs pulled from true‐to‐life experiences. On his critically acclaimed third release, “Rose Queen,” Green puts it all on the line and makes no apologies.

“Songwriting is reality. People are scared to put reality on paper, but this is 10 times more reality than my past work,” he said.

The music on “Rose Queen” ranges from the familiar Cajun flare he is known for on "Let's Go" to the introspective "Welcome to the Family." In the candidly honest lead single, "It's About Time," Green tackles the harsh reality that a significant relationship must end.

This debut single earned Green’s first top 10 song on Texas Radio. His follow‐up single, “She Likes The Beatles,” recently scored the No. 1 position on both the Texas Music Chart (TMC) and the Texas Regional Radio Report (TRRR). The full album released on April 30, 2013.

The 2014 Tyler Cattle Baron's Gala is set for June 14 at the Rio Neches Ranch, the home of Harry and Dawn Leatherwood.  Melissa and Jason Braswell and Tanya and Brian Merritt are chairing the event.

The 2014 Tyler Cattle Baron's Gala is the principle fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, Tyler. Every day, ACS saves lives and supports patients in Smith County. Nationwide last year, ACS supported 90,000 cancer patients from diagnosis through treatment, gave one million free transportation services and answered more than 200 calls each day to help with free information.
