Jingle Bell Runners Dash, Dance, and Prance Across Finish Line
Downtown Marshall, Texas, came alive with the recent Jingle Bell Run. The 2017 5K and One Mile Fun Run made its return to a night-time event. It was clear the runners loved the return to a lit run as registration numbers topped 275.
The Jingle Bell Run began and ended at Telegraph Park and wound its way through downtown past light displays, Wonderland of Lights general activities, and FaLaLa Progressive dinner attendees. Many participants came in costume and almost all included jingle bells attached to their shoelaces.
Awards were presented to the first three overall in for each gender, as well as Best Costume for individuals as well as group in ages 14 and under and 15 and over. Overall First Place runners received $250 gift card, Second Place winners received $125 gift card, and Third Place received $75 gift card. All three places for each gender received medals as well. All costume awards received a $50 gift card.

Wonderland of Lights runs through December 31 (Tuesday- Sunday) from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 4 to 10 p.m. Wonderland of Lights is closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
