Interactive Map the Best Way to Hit the Trail

If the "unknowns" of traversing the mighty Northeast Texas Trail (NETT) makes you hesitant, the friends of the trail have created a helpful interactive map to lessen your fears. Check it out at HERE.

The NETT trail encompasses 130 miles of recycled rail banked corridor. This unique piece of Texas history stretches from Farmersville to New Boston. It winds through 19 towns and seven counties.

The interactive map can be filtered to view the trail and mileage between cities, but additional views include places for eating, lodging, camping, seeing history and other points of interest, not to mention parking options.

The Northeast Texas Trail won the title of "Best Nature Walk" in County Line Magazine's Best of the Upper East Side of Texas 2017 campaign and is a long-time favorite for biking, jogging, walking dogs, photography and other activities for people in the region.

For more information on the trail itself, view an article from our archives about the NETT and other trail options in the region HERE.
