Marshall

Marshall is the Birthplace of Boogie Woogie Music. Every second Saturday of the month, the city hosts a downtown music festival in honor of its local heritage downtown. Spend the evening shopping, tasting local cuisine and wine, see a car show, and, of course, listen to a live concert. During the month of October, celebrate Marshall's Boogie Woogie music heritage with the Boogie Woogie Fireant Fest. See several talented performers play this classic style of music, a parade, a car show, and participate in a citywide Fireant Line Dance.  To further celebrate Marshall's history, tour one of its museums. Marshall's fascinating museums include the Harrison County Historical Museum, the Michelson Museum of Art, the East Texas Historical Texas & Pacific Depot Museum, and the Great American Train Stations Museum.  www.marshalltexas.net
