New Arts Center Is Coming to Winnsboro

Winnsboro Center for the Arts (WCA) engages people in the arts through educational opportunities, cultural experiences, and entertainmen, and integrates the arts into community life.

When people experience the arts and learn creative processes, it enriches the community and leads to a stronger economy.  Over the past several years, the WCA has experienced consistent growth and now finds itself “bursting at the seams” to accommodate all the activities it oversees.

A new building is planned for the vacant lot at the corner of Elm and Walnut Streets in downtown Winnsboro to help with their mission. It is slated to  include a large, multifunctional space for theater productions and art exhibitions and seating for 250 or more.

In addition to classrooms and a conference room, the new building will feature a children’s discovery area, and a sculputure garden is planned in an adjacent lot.
