Grand Music to Come from Mount Vernon

The grace, grandeur and order of the Baroque Era are alive and well in Mount Vernon Music’s upcoming program of chamber sonatas by Italian and German masters on Saturday, March 3, at 7:30 pm in Mount Vernon Music Hall.

Music for flute, strings and keyboard by 17th and 18th century masters Bach, Vivaldi, Pachelbel, Telemann and Corelli will transport the audience to an epoch of boundless expression through ever-changing detail and ornament.

Tickets can be purchased at the door, or in advance at or by calling 903-563-3780. Pianist Evan Mitchell will be joined by Ebonee Thomas, flute; Mark Miller, violin; Ute Miller, viola; and Zachary Mansell, cello.

Tickets are $10 for MVM members, $20 for non-members, and $5 for college students with valid ID. Children's admission through high school is free. (8th grade and younger must be accompanied by an adult ticketholder.)

Memberships in MVM start at $25 and support all the organization’s work, including scholarships for young musicians and outreach work for schools and seniors. Memberships are good for the year June 1 through May 31, and members receive discounts on ticket pricing. Details can be found at MVM’s website.
