The Henderson County Performing Arts Center (HCPAC) presents Summer Theatre Camp for ages 10 through 15. Camp runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 8-12 at 400 Gibson Road, Athens. Cost is $115.00 per student if paid on or before June 30 and $125 if paid after.

In addition to new experiences, theatre camp teaches children new skills not learned in school. For example, one of the most significant concepts in theatre is to take risks. Theatre inspires people to put new ideas into actions, as well as discover ideas as camp progresses. HCPAC suggests that society craves fresh, new ideas to put into action and that the younger that children learn this, the better they will be at it when they enter college or the work world. An introduction to theatre, no matter how small, sets a child up for success.
