The University of Texas at Tyler's campus is full of surprises thanks to a dozen abstract and representational outdoor sculptures.

Professor Dewane Hughes of UT Tyler organized the Biennial Outdoor Sculpture Invitational Exhibition, which opened in 2020. Many of the sculptures are composed of durable metals. Some are painted while others are unfinished.

Participating artists include Robbie Barber, Joe Barrington, Jeff Brewer, Jerry Dodd, Jack Gron, Meredith Jack, Alex Johnson, Julia Ousley, Bill Raney, Luke Sides, Wesley Stolusky and Dewane Hughes.

The sculptures will be on display across the UT Tyler main campus until August 2022. The exhibition was made possible through the support of the Department of Art and Art History and the College of Arts and Sciences.
