211 Gallery in Athens welcomes spring with its premiere of “The Great Outdoors.” An all-day reception takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 2 and an opportunity to meet the artists from 5 to 7 p.m.

The broadly-themed exhibit runs through June 10 and features juried works by many artists who capture or create interpretations of the natural world.

The exhibit features many types of art in a variety of media — from oils, watercolors, and pastels to sculpture, stained glass, wood working, photography, and digital art. The works are both representative and abstract.
