The Dogwood Arts Council is hosting an Art Talk and Walk Friday, August 20. and Saturday, August 21 inside businesses located in Palestine's Main Street District.
Painter Stacy Campbell from Bedford, Texas and Photographer Wayne White from New Caledonia, Missouri, will lead a Gallery Talk on the artist’s creative eros. These two possess a unique ability that combines humor with incisive insight as they discuss their approaches to the artist’s enterprise.
This event is 7 p.m., Friday August 20, at The Gallery at Redlands, 400 N. Queen St., Palestine, Texas.
Palestine’s Dogwood Arts Council is hosting its monthly Art Walk from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, August 21. Visitors are encouraged to begin at The Gallery at Redlands, 400 N. Queen Street, This gallery is located on the ground floor of the historic Redlands Hotel. Sandi Jones, owner of the gallery will be on hand to greet you and answer any questions.
Twenty businesses from downtown Palestine are featuring art from local artists, both professional and emerging. Some of the artists will do live demonstrations of their craft in addition to exhibiting and selling their work.
The Dogwood Arts Council, having witnessed success over the past two months, is hosting the Art Walk as a year-round event, as the number of participating businesses continues to grow.
