ArtWalk Longview takes place from 5-8 p.m. October 7 in the downtown cultural district. It includes artists, museums, live music, shopping, and food.

ArtWalk Longview is a free, self-guided tour of downtown business venues exhibiting and selling art. Musicians and other performance arts are part of the event.

Three new murals are being dedicated. At 5:30 p.m. “Spring Melody” by Wendy and Ava Arnold is presented at 202 West Tyler Street, on the side of the Texas Tire Exchange building. The image shows a young girl blowing a dandelion as seeds trickle into the air and turn into musical notes. The mural is dedicated to Georgeann Trammell, who worked alongside her husband for many years at Texas Tire Exchange. She passed away October 18, 2020.

At 106 West Methvin Street is “Color for Your Ears” by Deigo Baracaldo. It depicts a woman with long flowing red hair playing a flute with several birds flying.

The third mural is “Longview Flower Power” by Dace Kidd, located at 210 East Methvin Street, with dedication scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
