Liberty Hall is proud to bring Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Ruthie Foster back to the stage at 8 p.m. on Friday, February 18.

Those who have followed Ruthie Foster’s eclectic musical history know that she can burn down any stage with her combustible blend of soul, blues, rock, folk, and gospel. Her powerful voice has taken her from humble church choir beginnings in rural Texas to a tour of duty with the US Navy Band to now, ending up in Austin.

Foster's list of achievements include "Best Female Vocalist" in 2007, 2008, and 2013 from the Austin Music Awards; 2012 and 2009 Grammy nominations for "Best Contemporary Blues Album”; the 2010 Living Blues Music Award Critic’s Poll for "Female Blues Artist of the Year"; and recent Blues Music Award wins for 2010 "Best Contemporary" and "Best Traditional Blues Female Artist of the Year."

Foster's newest release, “Live at the Paramount,” released on May 15, 2020, swings back to the days (and nights) when Lady Ella sang Ellington and Sinatra blasted off with Count Basie and Quincy Jones.

Tickets range from $22 to $36. To purchase tickets or for more information about the City of Tyler’s Liberty Hall, visit www.LibertyTyler.com or call (903) 595-7274.
