The ArtsView Children’s Theatre Board of Directors named Michelle Norris as the organization’s next General Manager. Norris has been with the theatre in a variety of capacities since 2012 and assumed the role of Artistic Director in July 2017. Norris will continue to perform the duties of Artistic Director while also taking the management and administrative tasks of the theatre.

"I am proud the board approves of the work I have done as Artistic Director and am excited to tackle these new roles and responsibilities. ArtsView is a home away from home for so many kids and teens, and I can’t wait to help it continue to grow and develop," Norris said.

Richard Yeakley, ArtsView’s previous General Manager, took a job with the City of Longview this month creating the vacancy.

"ArtsView has a great team that is ready to lead the organization forward, and Michelle has so many gifts.  I know she will put her all into her dual roles as General Manager and Artistic Director," Yeakley said.

The organization also hired a new Theatre Programs Facilitator to help oversee outreach efforts, launch a birthday party initiative, help with camps and classes, and assist with productions.  Lindsey Sigler, who has served as Stage Manager for several Main Stage performance creative teams and helped in several Performing Arts Theatre School camps and classes will assume the role.

Sigler received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Stage Management from University of North Carolina School of the Arts and a Master of Science in Camp Administration and Leadership from Touro University Nevada.

"Although I am relatively new to ArtsView I have already seen the amazing things it does for the kids who take part," Sigler said. "I am glad for this opportunity and look forward to working closely with the ArtsView team and the families who make the theatre what it is."
