Greenville's Texan Theater is adding monthly dinner parties to its busy schedule. Owner Barbara Horan encourages visitors to have fun at the Texan with dinner and entertainment Tuesday evenings once a month — in addition to free events on Wednesdays, dinner shows Friday and Saturday evenings, and Sunday matinees.

Ventriloquist Jay Johnson and his puppet Bob perform Tuesday, August 24. "You may remember his character in Soap," Horan says. "Great guy, funny man, and a friend of mine."

Local favorite John David Kent performs September 28. Menu items for the dinner theater events will be announced closer to the date.

The Texan hosts free events each Wednesday. Friendlee begins broadcasting the good news at 10 a.m. every Wednesday morning and buys his guests free coffee.

"Friendlee Live!" is held on the Texan stage at noon. The acoustic show is free to attend, and most seats are socially distanced. Attendees can order lunch in the Texan Theater's lobby and it will be delivered to their seats.

Bill Salamon hosts "Hump Day Happy Hour" at 5 p.m. The show celebrates the local arts scene and discusses current movie releases.

Coffee Club members enjoy a free drink every day for a $5 monthly fee. The Texan Theater Entertainment Club allows guests the option to pay a monthly fee of $199. For more information about the Texan Theater visit www.texantheatergreenville.com or call (903) 259-6360.
