Holli Fourniquet Elected Board President

Holli (Conley) Fourniquet, Vice President of Marketing for Visit Tyler, was elected Board President of the Texas Forest Trail Region at the board meeting held earlier this month. Fourniquet will lead the board in helping East Texas heritage tourism and economic development partners attract and meet the needs of visitors to the Texas Forest Trail Region. The position is a one-year term.

"I’m excited to represent Tyler and the rest of East Texas as part of the Texas Forest Trail Board," Fourniquet said. "I have a lot of ideas for the upcoming year on how we can market the Forest Trail Region to travelers and tell the stories that make this area unique."

"Myself and the rest of the Board are excited about working alongside Holli", said Del Polikretis, Executive Director of the Forest Trail Region. "We look forward to her leadership and expect nothing less than a successful year of growth and development during her term."

The Texas Forest Trail Region is a regional tourism initiative developed by the Texas Historical Commission that fosters regional economic development by promoting heritage tourism through the preservation of cultural and historic resources and regional partnerships. The Texas Forest Trail Region encompasses 35 counties in East Texas including Anderson, Angelina, Bowie, Camp, Cass, Cherokee, Franklin, Gregg, Hardin, Harrison, Henderson, Houston, Jasper, Jefferson, Marion, Montgomery, Morris, Nacogdoches, Newton, Orange, Panola, Polk, Red River, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine, San Jacinto, Shelby, Smith, Titus, Trinity, Tyler, Upshur, Walker and Wood.
