Tyler Rose Garden Center

About Tyler Rose Garden Center

Since its opening in 1952, the Tyler Municipal Rose Garden has established itself as the undisputable center of the “rose capital of the world.” With 35,000 rose bushes of 500 diverse rose varieties, as well as a number of other plants and flowers, the Tyler Rose Garden creates an experience that appeals to rose enthusiasts, home gardeners and those with an appreciation for natural beauty alike. Built at the entrance of the Tyler Municipal Rose Garden, the Rose Garden Center not only accommodates visitors with an information area, gift shop and restrooms, but also gives them a chance to experience the vibrant history and exciting moments of the Tyler Rose Garden preserved within the Tyler Rose Museum. The museum’s interactive exhibits include sound bites of the marching bands from the Rose Parade in years past, audio recordings of former Rose Queens reflecting on their time as royalty and glass-encased displays of the extravagant handmade gowns worn by the Rose Queens. The Tyler Rose Garden and Garden Center is featured every October at the annual Rose Festival and Parade with more than 30,000 people in attendance. The Tyler Rose Garden and Garden Center is open each Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sundays from 1-5 p.m.
